Events at Yonder Hills Oasis aren't performances. They're participatory. Everyone brings something. Everyone leaves with something.
From intimate skill-share weekends to the annual Homesteaders Conference, every gathering is designed around one idea — that the most valuable thing you can share with another person is something useful.
Four times a year, we open the property for themed weekend gatherings — focused weekends built around a skill, a topic, or a shared project.
Past and planned themes:
Natural building and earthship design
Regenerative agriculture and food systems
Solar, energy independence, and off-grid living
Fermentation, foraging, and wild foods
Mushroom cultivation and mycology
Water systems, wallipini greenhouses, and aquaculture
Format: Friday evening arrival and campfire Saturday workshops, hands-on sessions, communal meals Sunday morning wrap-up and departure
Pricing: Members: $15/person · Public: $25/person Camping available at member and public rates
Capacity: 40 attendees per gathering

Not an event — a work party. The most important thing we do.
Open to all members and interested visitors, build weekends are how this place gets built. Show up, grab a tool, and help create something that will outlast all of us.
What happens at a build weekend:
Morning coffee and project overview
Tool distribution and safety briefing
Hands-on work — tee installation, garden construction, trail building, native plantings, earthship projects
Communal lunch provided
Afternoon continued work or property exploration
Optional evening campfire
All skill levels welcome. No experience necessary. Bring tools if you have them. Just show up ready to work.
Member and public access. Free to attend for members.
Events are announced to members first — 48 hours before public release for Founding Members, with Ambassador Members getting first notification on build weekends.
